Artists, Entertainers and Athletes Visa

Artists, entertainers and athletes can come to the United States to perform under a couple different non-immigrant visas, including an O visa and a P visa.

P visas are issued to artists, entertainers and athletes coming to the U.S. to perform or compete. O visas are for individuals with extraordinary abilities and can include artists, entertainers and athletes.

O visa requirements are more stringent than P visa requirements. Although both are non-immigrant visas, a P visa holder must maintain residence in their home country, while an O visa holder has no residency requirement. Generally, O visas are for longer periods of times.
